Creepy Things (Self-Assembling?) in Antibiotic Eye Drops - Part 2 (More Footage)
Curiouser and curiouser...
In this article, I’ll do my best to present new pictures and videos in the order I took them, so it will be easier to see how things in the sample developed over time. I initially saw a lot of clumps and strand-like things. Most of the clumps were purple, golden-brown, or those colors mixed with a few others.
I often see golden-brown clumps in liquid medications and am never quite sure if I’m looking at impurities that have gotten into the sample accidently, (most likely at a manufacturing plant), or if they were put there for some purpose. I write off a lot of the strands I see as possible artifacts, (things that fell in accidently while I was preparing the sample), but some are seemingly impossible to explain away.
Before I get to the exciting stuff, lets take a look at some of my initial finds. I’d be curious to know what you think about them in view of the fact that, supposedly, no natural organisms were used in the drug’s creation. (Unless there were some in unnamed excipients.)
(P.S. - If you’re reading this before the paywall, you can leave a comment in the comments’ section of any of my free articles with the heading: “Creepy Things, Part 2.”)
